Not the case you should change the SQL Server to only connect to TCP/IP and local mainpipe names only. To do this, in the search field type SQL then click search. The SQL links will come up click on the one that say's SQL Server Surface Area Configuration. Then click on add new administrator. This should be your computer name and any passwords you use when logging on to your system. Next click on surface area configuration for service and connections, next click the plus on the MSSLBIZ to drop down it's menu, then click the plus on the database engine tab. Next select the remote connections link. Under thsi tab you want to choose the Local and Remote connections link the choose using both TCP/IP and Name Pipes, then click apply for setting to change. close all windows and open small business accounting 2006 then restore you previous company data to you new company file.
