CD Burning: Solution to Media Player 11 does not recognize my burner By geoff bolster Printer Friendly Version | |
The ongoing user problem of getting CD burner recognised in Windows Media Player. There is a solution and it's not that hard. |
| To all those having the above problem, I had exactly the same problem but it easy to fix. It is not a WMP11 fault. You need to do two things. 1. Ensure your device is set up to record. Right click on the CD/DVD device drive in "my computer", go to "recording", tick the box "enable CD recording". 2. go to "Start", "msconfig", "services", and ensure "IMAPI CD" burning is running. You will need to restart your PC after this. You cannot burn a CD if IMAPI is not running. Hope that helps |
