SharePoint Form Generator

Hi Alon - thanks for this download.  My list has a number of numerical columns in it, and I have found that for some reason the form builder is defaulting with a 1,234.56 in each of these columns.  I am an administrator, without code knowledge - would you be able to provide me with a simple solution to remove this figure?

Unfortunately, it is not possible in the current version. So, there is no simple solution without any code knowledge. But, I'm working on the new release and I will let know (here, in this post) when it is possible.

Error when go to the design your form link

Its a one of the great webparts to fill up the form in a clean way. I have couple of problems with the form webparts. When i click modify shared webparts and the fill up all the details needed in the form generator properties. but when i click on the "Design your form" then it will came up the page "File Not Found" error. Also if you have more than one content type in the lists it will show up the content type field in the form with dropdown having lists of all content types which is not good.

Any thought where to make changes to resolve this.

Thanks

Nice...could you help me to start with Sharepoint...

Hi Alon, I have gone through your Sharepoint articles and it is really awesome. Could you please help me to start up with Sharepoint? I am wondering what should be the basic requirement to start learning? What resources required etc etc...

You can presume that I am proficient in C# but naive in Sharepoint. :)

Thanks,
Raj.

Hi Alon,

The Form Generator web part appears to be exactly what I am looking for.  However, as with another post I saw on the codeplex page, for some reason the web part does not show up as available to add to a page.  The solution installed correctly, and it shows from WSS Central Administration that it is good.  I am able to activate the solution at the site level, but when trying to add it in edit mode, the SFG is not listed.  I have tried this on 3 separate servers to verify.  I am running WSS 3.0 with all SP's and Windows server 2003 which is also patched right up.

Any thoughts on the cause?

Thanks and regards,
Brad

Hello,

This web part is very good, but I have found that if the user is not logged in it returns the error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Is this supposed to be able to update the list when the user in anonymous?

Hi,

I am using your web part but when I changed it to only edit existing item, it does not let me get to selected item in choice field, it always show first item and also with date its not allowing to enter different date it only shows today's date.
